Compromise Agreements
Your employer may ask you to sign a compromise agreement if you are to be made redundant or they wish to terminate your employment.
Our panel of Solicitors are able to advise and negotiate the terms of the agreement with your employer which would
include terms such as restrictive covenant wording, increase settlement figures, agree future reference wording etc.
What is a Compromise Agreement?
Compromise agreements are terms that have been negotiated and agreed between you and your employer on
termination of your contract of employment. When signed, it will be in final settlement of all claims in
connection with the termination of your employment.
Why do I need to obtain legal advise from a Solicitor?
You must receive independent legal advice from a qualified solicitor in order for the agreement to be legally
binding. As part of the agreement terms your employer should agree to pay all of the legal fees in addition to
your compensation payments.
